7 things you must bring when traveling long distances by car
Traveling long distances is fun, especially if you do it with your beloved family for the holidays. Are you planning to do an #UnlimitedJourney, aka a long trip by car, in the near future? To ensure a safe and comfortable trip, make sure to bring the following items!
1. Various important letters and documents
The first items that must be brought when traveling long distances are important letters and documents, starting from vehicle documents such as vehicle registration and driver's licenses. Don't forget your identity card as well as ATM cards, health certificates, etc. Keep these letters in a special place that is safe and easy to reach in the car.
2. Medication and first aid
Next, bring the necessary medicines in a first aid kit. There are various types of these drugs. For example, multivitamins to keep your body fit and medicines such as eucalyptus oil for toddlers when traveling long distances with your little one.
Then, also provide external medicines, such as red medicine or medicine for wounds. Likewise with other equipment such as sterile gauze, plaster and cotton, don't forget to bring it. Of course this will make it easier for you when you are far from a pharmacy or drug store during your trip.
3. Car repair equipment
Third and no less important is car repair equipment. These repair tools include wheel wrenches, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, pumps and jacks, as well as other supporting tools. Includes a jack and a spare OEM car tire such as a Dunlop ENASAVE EC300+ or ENASAVE EC350+.
The advantage of this car tire is its ability to provide excellent comfort for the driver. Apart from that, its service life is relatively long thanks to the use of jointless full nylon band material in its manufacture. With these advantages, you will save more fuel.
4. Sufficient food and mineral water
Fourth, don't forget to bring enough food and drink, especially if traveling with children who are still toddlers. However, you should avoid foods that are too oily to avoid nausea. It would be even better if Drivemate brought dry food. Not only is it practical, bringing your own food can also help you save money. At least, Drivemate money can be used for other needs during the trip.
5. Plastic bag
Sometimes, there are car passengers who are not used to long journeys. This will make him feel nauseous, dizzy, and even want to vomit on the trip. By bringing a plastic bag, Drivemate can be on guard in case a passenger vomits so it doesn't dirty the car.
Plastic bags are also useful for disposing of unused baby diapers during travel. Apart from that, these plastic bags can be used as trash bags for food and drinks. Also remember, close the plastic bag properly so that it doesn't cause odors in the car.
6. Change of clothes
Will your trip take a long time? If so, it is important to bring a change of clothes, including toiletries such as facial soap and others. Especially when bringing small children or toddlers, try to bring enough and comfortable clothes for them during the trip.
Not only children, sometimes adults also feel irritated when traveling quite far. Provide enough changes of clothes and put them in a special place that is easy to reach. That way, you can change clothes while resting in the rest area.
7. Toll card
Finally, the item you must bring when traveling long distances is a toll card. Currently, many toll roads have been built to make it easier for users to get to cities in Indonesia. Traveling using this toll road is relatively faster than other routes.
Therefore, prepare your toll card well in advance, make sure you have sufficient balance. If it's not enough, you can fill it in first. This is important so that you and your family are not confused or worried about running out of balance when entering the toll booth.
You can apply at least the seven points above to make long trips even more enjoyable. For other tips and experiences regarding #UnlimitedJourney, Drivemates can visit the Dunlop website at dunlop.co.id or follow Dunlop's Instagram. Be careful on the road, Drivemate!
