These are the rarest cars in the world
There are some cars that are not mass-produced. The number can be counted on the fingers of one hand. Apart from that, there are also some that are rare because fewer and fewer people wear them. Cars like that then skyrocketed and became sought after by many parties.
People who want it are no longer chasing the functional value of the car. There is a special beauty that is attractive. Apart from that, the urge to look different and get something special can also motivate people to hunt for these rarest cars. Not surprisingly, the price has skyrocketed so high.
What are the rarest cars in the world? Here are some of them.
Bugatti Royale Kellner Coupe

Produced in 1937, the French car manufacturer, Automobiles Ettore Bugatti, plans to make only six of them. This Royale Kellner Coupe was deliberately made in limited quantities because it was to be sold to the elite. Specifically, the founder is Ettore. Bugatti is targeting aristocrats as its target market.
However, his hopes did not come true. The Great Depression that hit the world in the 1930s hampered sales of the Royale Kellner Coupe. As a result, not everything was produced. This is what makes it one of the rarest vehicles.
Aside from its rarity, the Royal Kellner Coupe is famous because of the engine that is used as its engine. Bugatti put a 12.7 L engine there. At that time, it was the largest engine capacity ever in a car.
Apart from that, the Royal Kellner Coupe is one of the most expensive cars. Gizmodo reported that in 1987, this car was sold for 9.7 United States (US) dollars or around Rp. 143.33 billion.
Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita

When only two are produced, it is certain that the car is very rare. Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita falls into that category. It is boxer Floyd Mayweather who is able to have one of them. In 2009, he bought the CCXR Trevita for 4.8 million US dollars (around Rp. 70.9 billion).
This price is commensurate with the beauty of the CCXR Trevita. Koenigsegg sprinkled diamonds on the vehicle body. It is used as a “dye” to change the fiber coating which is usually black in color to a shiny gray white when exposed to light.
However, it's not just the appearance that makes the CCXR Trevita charming. The performance is also fierce. This car only needs 2.9 seconds to accelerate from zero km/h to 100 km/h. Apart from that, the CCXR can also be accelerated to speeds of 410 km/hour.
Jaguar XKSS

The Jaguar XKSS was first produced in 1957 as a “commercial type” Jaguar D-Type racing vehicle. At that time, Jaguar only produced 16 of them. That's it, not just anyone can buy it. This British supercar manufacturer only wants to sell it to the special people it offers.
This car is increasingly rare because it is believed that not all of it is still intact. It is believed that there are only 12 Jaguar XKSS left. Not surprisingly, this roadster with a Jaguar XK6 engine is the dream of many people.
One of the lucky ones to have had it was the late actor Steve McQueen. This celebrity from the United States once bought it for 5 thousand US dollars after it was launched. However, the value of the Jaguar XKSS has increased drastically. It is estimated that anyone who wants to own it will have to spend 30 million US dollars or around Rp. 440.4 billion.
Oldsmobile F-88

There are many classic cars, but only a few can change and influence today's cars. Of the handful of cars, the Oldsmobile F-88 is among them.
Oldsmobile, which is a brand from General Motors (GM), produced it in 1954. At that time, they deliberately positioned it as a concept car to be exhibited at various events. GM also only made four of them.
The Oldsmobile F-88 immediately became the center of attention because of its elegant appearance. Its value is further increased because GM has a policy of destroying concept cars several years after they are shown. Luckily the Oldsmobile F-88 was among those that survived the destruction. However, anyone who wants to own it must be willing to redeem it at a price of 3.5 million US dollars (around Rp. 51.3 billion).
Ferrari 250 GT

Ferrari has produced many super cars, but the 250 GT series is considered one of the best. This Italian hypercar manufacturer produced 250 GTs in 1962. In the two years before stopping production, they only made 39 of them.
However, the Ferrari 250 GT immediately sold well. When it was first sold, the price tag was only 18 thousand US dollars. But, now the price has increased many times. In June 2018, this car was known to have been sold for 70 million US dollars (around Rp. 1.02 trillion) to the founder of WeatherTech, David MacNeil.
This is considered commensurate with the reputation of the Ferrari 250 GT. Apart from being rare, many people include it in the list of the best sports cars of all time. For example, Motor Trend Classic which ranked it as The Greatest Ferraris of All Time and Popular Mechanics which called it The Hottest Car of All Time.
