33rd Kaizen Festival Surindo Wins QCC Kaizen Festival Event

Not without reason, PT Sumi Rubber Indonesia (Surindo) took part in the 33rd Kaizen Festival. Yup, this is the 33rd Kaizen Festival (KF) which is held regularly every year by the Toyota Manufacturers Club (TMC).

Meanwhile, TMC is managed by Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN), which in fact is a forum for its suppliers. Dunlop is one of the 154 registered members.

Every year, the Kaizen Festival is held. For your information, Kaizen is the spirit of Sakura Country, which means continuous improvement. This is the spirit that we want to convey to the TMClub participants at the Kaizen Festival.

Even in the 2020 season, KF will still be held even though the Covid-19 pandemic is hitting. Previously, this event would be attended by around 1,200 people from various supplier participants, now it will be held via live streaming, online via YouTube (TMClubOfficial).

Kaizen Spirit

The aim of KF-33 is to increase kaizen capabilities and improve the work environment. This step can be realized through sharing, appreciation and mutual inspiration among fellow members.

“Kaizen Festival-33 was attended by 42 TMClub member companies in three categories, namely G-QCC, QCC and SS. "For G-QCC, this year is the third year for TMClub to start G-QCC activities," he said. said the chairman of the 33rd Kaizen Festival committee.

And Surindo was able to achieve impressive results. Surindo succeeded in becoming the best team and was entitled to receive an award in the QCC class at the 33rd Kaizen Festival by eliminating 36 groups in this category. 

This achievement is very impressive. The Surindo team successfully passed various phases starting from verification and confirmation in collecting materials, the improvement process and implementation of kaizen, to online presentations. After that, it was continued with appreciation according to the judging and obtaining scores from the process and improvement results presented.

In judging all categories, including G-QCC, QCC and SS, Surindo took part by delegating its factory employees. As a result, the work of the Surindo QCC committee represented by Zuhendri (Environment Department) and Bambang (Production Department) also brought SURINDO the name of champion in this KF event.
