Make sure these 7 car equipment are always available in the vehicle
Primary car condition is very important for daily use, especially for long distance travel. However, just having a car in prime condition is not enough, you know. Drivemates also need to pay attention to other car equipment that is no less important during the trip. What is this equipment? Here are seven car equipment that you must have in your car!
1. Manual book
The car equipment that must be available is the factory manual. Unfortunately, quite a few drivers ignore this manual. In fact, the benefits of this book are enormous, especially when problems occur on the road and far from the workshop. The presence of a manual can help solve problems. So, it's a good idea for Drivemate to always keep the manual in the car.
2. First aid kit and its contents
After the manual, the car equipment that must be brought is a first aid kit and its contents. The contents of this first aid kit vary. However, some things you must have include bandages, red medicine, eucalyptus oil, and anti-nausea medicine which are important when traveling long distances with your little one. Other additional equipment that Drivemate can carry is a multi-purpose folding knife, flashlight, and reflective triangle or triangle marking when the car breaks down.
3. Jumper cables
Third, don't forget to always bring jumper cables. This cable is a temporary solution for cars that break down due to electrical problems, because it can start the car engine. How to use it is quite easy. Connect the valve cable of the battery to be charged. Then, make sure the cable is connected to the charger on the battery and pay attention to the positive or negative current.
4. Glass breaking tool
Has Drivemate ever seen a glass breaking device on public transportation? Not only for public transportation, this fourth car equipment is also mandatory for Drivemate cars. This tool functions to break glass when the door is locked during an emergency such as a vehicle on fire and so on. Don't forget to put this tool in a place that is easy to reach in an emergency.
5. Fire extinguisher
Not only must you bring glass breaking tools, Drivemate also needs to bring car equipment in the form of a small to medium sized fire extinguisher. This fire extinguisher is made from special materials and functions to extinguish fires when there is minor damage. Apart from that, this tool is also considered safer than extinguishing a fire with water which has the potential to cause other damage such as short circuits.
6. Jack
The sixth piece of car equipment that is no less important is the jack. In general, a jack has four wheels. The function of the jack is to make it easier for Drivemate to lift the car when replacing a punctured or burst tire. There are various types of jacks sold on the market. Drivemate can choose according to their needs, for example a scissor model jack, a bottle jack and a jack known as the crocodile model.
7. Tire replacement equipment
Finally, apart from a spare tire, make sure Drivemate also has tire replacement equipment when traveling. Some of the equipment that needs to be prepared to replace the tire includes the following:
â— Wheel wrench to lock or unlock vehicle wheel nuts. There are various types of wheel locks, for example cross-shaped wheel locks, L-shaped wheel locks, crank wheel locks, and electric wheel locks.
â— Tire pressure gauge which functions to see the pressure of car tires. You can choose a tire pressure gauge which is equipped with a multi-information display (MID) feature which can detect tire pressure automatically.
â— Flat tire repair kit or complete tire changing equipment. This kit usually contains an air tube, rubber for tire patches, and glue. Apart from that, there are also screwdrivers and pliers to make it easier to change tires in times of emergency.
Is the car equipment above already included in the Drivemate car? If not, prepare it now to be more comfortable when driving every day or when traveling long distances. Don't forget to provide an official spare tire from Dunlop which has a long service life and is guaranteed.
